Most growth is exponential (for a while, as a logistics curve (aka S-curve) does start exponentially), how about showing log(y(x)) instead of y(x). But not always: if zero is no…

Good idea. I was thinking store it under vacuum but nitrogen might be easier.

Not through farming a larger area of land, that's for sure. It's been mostly up to improvements in crops, nitrogen fixing, the invention of the reefer car, and other things. Add…

I don't know why they don't just use nitrogen in the storage vessels. Ship holds, for example, already have this capability.

The bigger tank apparently holds 250kg of air. That's about 200 cubic meters. A two car garage is likely less than 100 cubic meters. You wouldn't need to dump nearly an entire t…

10% of the air replaced with pure nitrogen would be 0.8 * 0.9 + 1.0 * 0.1 = 82% nitrogen, 18% oxygen. That's perfectly safe for brief exposure, which is all it would be before y…

Nitrogen is a chemical element; it has symbol N and atomic number 7. Nitrogen is a nonmetal and the lightest member of group 15 of the periodic table, often called the pnictogens. It is a common element in the universe, estimated at seventh in total abundance in the Milky Way and the Solar System. At standard temperature and pressure, two atoms of the element bond to form N2, a colourless and odourless diatomic gas. N2 forms about 78% of Earth's atmosphere, making it the most abundant chemical species in air. Because of the volatility of nitrogen compounds, nitrogen is relatively rare in the solid parts of the Earth. Read more on Wikipedia
